From Bluff Creek Cottage and private dock, you can see the yachts and sailing ships as they move up and down the Intercoastal Waterway (ICW) and the shrimp boats with nets raised high as they return to supply the local restaurants with the best seafood in the world from local waters. Your panoramic view includes St. Catherines Sound to the Atlantic Ocean.

From the screened porch and on your private dock, you can enjoy scenic river views, sunrises and sunsets, dolphins, and sea and shore birds on Bluff Creek. Enjoy sunrise and sunset while relaxing in the eastern breeze from the Atlantic Ocean.

Fish, crab, and shrimp right from the dock.

The sky is full of sea and shore birds. Wood stork, egrets, herons, sea hawks, pelican, sea gulls and shore birds are frequent visitors. You may get to watch as bald eagles feed in the river and rare and endangered woodpeckers retrieve their dinner from the bark of the 100 feet tall virgin pine trees. For the bird lovers, varying with the season there is always an abundant supply and variety of land and sea birds. As for the dolphin lovers, you can watch as they come and go with the tides and feed along the marsh banks in Bluff Creek and under your private dock. Dolphin watch goes on day and night. Star gazing is great due to the limited ambient light. Check your calendar and schedule your visit for a time when you can enjoy the full moon rising over St. Catherine’s Sound.

Come experience the unspoiled coast of Georgia for yourself. Take a stroll thru the marsh on the elevated walkway. Go fresh water fishing at Pamona Lake or salt water fishing from the private dock in Bluff Creek.

Schedule a relaxing massage at the cottage. Pia is a certified massage therapist and will come to the cottage for your massage. Be sure to schedule your massage appointment well in advance of your visit.

If you like dining out, many of the Georgia's best seafood restaurants are within a few minutes of Bluff Creek Cottage. Enjoy visiting the various well known local seafood restaurants and taverns while enjoying the view.

Build a fire in the large fireplace and relax and spend your time reading and sleeping in the quiet privacy of this secluded cottage. You can create gourmet meals with fresh local seafood in the completely equipped kitchen. The Georgia seafood is the best. Catch your own or purchase Wild Georgia Shrimp from local seafood markets and fishermen.

Bluff Creek Cottage has three bedrooms with high thread count linens and comfortable king size beds plus a Futon Sofa in the downstairs den.

Plan a day trip to Savannah or St. Simons Island. You can be very active and explore historic Savannah (40 miles north), Brunswick, and St Simons Island (40 miles south). Antique shops, Savannah malls and outlet malls, and quaint local shops all within 40 minutes of Bluff Creek Cottage.

Visit the Barrier Islands by private boat or charter a trip with local guides. There is great fishing, shrimping and crabbing in the salt water rivers, St. Catherine's Sound, Sapelo Sound, and at Grays Reef in the Atlantic Ocean. Charter fishing trips can be arranged. You can have your boat serviced at the local marinas and be in the Atlantic Ocean within minutes. This area is great for walking and biking along dirt trails and small paved roads.
