Taking a Mental Health Day means spending time doing those things I always hoped to do.  So, last Sunday, I put the boat in the river and rode out to ICW Marker 145 in Sapelo Sound.   Heading due east in 20 minutes, I was passing the Quarantine Station just off Blackbeard Island beach.   Then 10 minutes of riding thru thousands of acres of golden marsh grass as Blackbeard Creek winds her way pass Cabretta Island to the Atlantic Ocean.

I arrived at almost low tide and the beach spreads for miles with no one to block my view.   Proper planning has me throwing my old king size sheet over part of a driftwood piece of art on the beach.   A few strings tie the sheet corners to the driftwood tree and keep the ocean breezes from blowing it away.  Now I have shade over my bean bag chair and as I relax on the beach the recovery process has begun.
